  3. A couple of handy Applescripts for use with OSAMenu reworked into a useless hack.

  5. Requires the following on your system, preferably all running for best results:

  7. OSAMenu
  8. clip2gif
  9. Folder Icon Maker
  10. Netscape
  11. SimpleText
  12.  
  13. and the RevealThyself Folder
  14.

  16. Copy the Reveal Thyself script into the Universal Scripts folder of OSAMenu
  17.  
  18. With some application or other running in the foreground, choose Reveal Thyself from the OSAMenu Menu.

  20. After much switching around, be patient, Netscape will show you a page with a special Icon built from the current application.

  23. Also included are the useful scripts.

  25. Reveal Current Application
  26.  
  27. Causes the Finder to reveal the current application. Ever wonder where the rogue copy of TeachText is that just launched? With this script in your Universal Scripts Folder, wonder no more. Also helpful if you need to resize the memory partition or open the System Folder (just run it with Finder in Front).

  31. Clipboard2gif…

  33. Takes a picture on the clipboard, shows it to you and immediately opens a Save As... dialog for you to save it as a file. The extension of the file name tells the script the format you want to save in. Possibilities are:

  35. .tiff
  36. .pict
  37. .jpg
  38. .jpeg
  39. anything else will save as a gif file.
